Pause for singing
The SingPause is a project of the Städtischen Musikverein zu Düsseldorf. It is supported by the cultural office and school administration office of the state capital Düsseldorf as well as by numerous sponsors.
It started for the first time in 2006 and has since developed into an important musical, socially integrative educational offer. It is part of the school program and takes place in the mornings. It involves all students from first to fourth grade. In 2020/21, the SingPause in Düsseldorf will be offered at 70 primary schools for around 16,000 children. Other primary schools would like to be included in the program.
